How
to Choose a Table
Playing Surface
The most important factors in selecting a table are how well the surface plays and the strength of the frame. If you buy a sturdy table that plays well you will enjoy many years of trouble-free play. How well the table will play is based on the strength of the apron (the steel or wood frame that supports the top), the density of the top, and the thickness of the playing surface. For both indoor and outdoor tables, we strongly recommend purchasing a table with an apron. With exception of the lowest price Prince and Butterfly models, all of our tables have an apron. There is one brand that only adds an apron to their highest price models. We no longer carry that brand.
The more dense the surface and the thicker the top, the better the play. For indoor tables we recommend a top made of medium or high-density fiberboard with a thickness of 5/8” (16mm) or thicker. For outdoor tables, the tops will be thinner, however the density and thickness rule still applies. The best playing outdoor models have a synthetic laminate top (Cornilleau and Butterfly). Even though these tops are very thin, they are properly supported and extremely dense. Next is the Prince Advantage with a ½” Compreg® top and the Stiga models with a ½ MDF core clad in aluminum. The other approach to outdoor tops is to use a very thin wood core (¼” thick) with and internal frame, in lieu of an apron and clad in aluminum. We do not carry tables manufactured with this approach.
Frame Style
Frame strength is import for any table, and especially important for tables that will receive heavy use or use by children. Additionally, tables that are folded and moved frequently, such as outdoor tables should also have a sturdy frame. Frame styles include stationary tables, tables that are joined in the middle and share four casters, and tables that are two separate pieces each with their own set of four casters. All of the "rollaway" tables have wheels for easy moving.
Other Factors
Other factors such as color, storage size, delivery, and assembly should also be considered in your decision.

Delivery Information
Curbside
shipping
All table tennis tables include free CURBSIDE shipping within the
USA (Continental). Delivery will be done by a 48' tractor/trailer
(a big truck). Total Table Tennis will NOT be responsible for inaccurate
or undeliverable addresses. Your shipping address must be able to
accommodate the 48' truck. Please contact us if you have any doubts.
The delivery
person requires your assistance in unloading your table, and leaves
the table at the curbside. Any additional services, such as two-person
delivery or inside delivery are not included in the price of the table.
The cost of these additional services varies from city to city. They
usually cost between $75.00 and $150.00 extra. You may purchase these
additional services directly from the shipping company when they call
you for an appointment. You would pay them directly for the additional
service.
BEFORE signing the delivery receipt
The manufacturer and shipping companies do their best to ensure
that your table arrives on time and without any damage. However, sometimes,
damage does occur in shipping.
It is therefore very important that you inspect the table before
signing the delivery receipt. Take your time when you receive the
table, and make sure you are satisfied before signing. Once you sign,
you have absolved the shipping company of any responsibility and it
is almost impossible to have a claim honored.
If there is a problem, make sure the driver clearly writes the problem
on the delivery receipt (this will be very useful if a shipping claim
must be made), and please contact us as soon as possible.
When will I
get my table?
Tables are shipped directly from the warehouse to you by freight line.
The table should reach the terminal nearest to you within
one to two weeks of being shipped (this time frame varies depending
on location). Once the table reaches this terminal, the shipping
company will call you to set up a delivery appointment. They deliver
during the business week (Monday through Friday, excluding holidays)
and require a four hour shipping window for the appointment (for example
8:00 a.m. - 12:00 or 2:00 p.m. to 6:00p.m.). Someone must be present
for the delivery.

Products
What is the difference between speed glue and regular glue?
Regular glue is made just to assemble paddles. Speed glue is made
for players who are looking for more speed, so they use speed glue
to make the rubber faster, however they have to re-glue their rubber
every 3 to 6 hours depending the kind of glue they are using. For
more information on Speed Glue.
What's the difference between "flared-legend" and "flared-master"?
Stiga offers two types of flared handles. Legend is wider than Master.
